That’s a Wrap! Filming Complete on Naked & Unashamed… As God Intended

What an incredible journey it has been! From the inception of the idea to bring Pastor Jim Moore’s true-life story in Naked & Unashamed… As God Intended, as a naturalist pastor from Texas to the big screen, to navigating the challenges of filming, we are thrilled to announce that production is complete, and we’re now heading into post-production.
Since I’m overseeing the post-production process, I wasn’t needed on set until the final days of filming. However, the crew faced significant obstacles during the planned two-week shoot.
Originally, we intended to film on location at a naturalist resort in Pasadena, CA, with a few days scheduled on a studio lot. But just two days into filming, wildfires swept through California, creating dangerous conditions and forcing mandatory evacuations.

For many productions, this would have meant shutting down entirely. However, thanks to producer Tim Chizmar’s quick thinking and adaptability, the shoot was relocated to another naturalist resort in Arizona, a seven-hour journey from the original location.
The team loaded up, made the trek, and adjusted the script to incorporate the new location while maintaining the essence of the story. With some cast and crew members unable to continue due to the fires, Tim stepped up again, making the necessary calls to secure replacements.
After shooting most of the remaining schedule in Arizona, the crew returned to Pasadena for the final two days of production. As they traveled back, I began my journey to join them. Let’s just say I now have a newfound appreciation for the train and bus system in Los Angeles!
On my first day on set, I met the crew, listened to their “war stories” from the past week and a half, and got settled in. Due to the displacement caused by the fires, several roles needed to be filled. I was even asked to take on a speaking role!

I quickly learned the lines for “Mike,” a husband battling a pornography addiction, alongside “Betsy,” his wife, portrayed by the talented Breeanna Judy. Together, our characters sought guidance from the pastor to save their marriage.

That first day of filming left me exhausted, with aching feet and legs. But after a solid night’s sleep, I was ready to return for the final day. The team worked diligently through the remaining scenes, creating movie magic. After lunch, I jumped in to assist director Mark Savage with anything needed to bring the last scenes to life.

And then, the moment we’d all been working toward arrived. The final footage was shot, and we officially wrapped production! Despite the challenges—fires, displaced cast and crew, and relocating to another state—the team managed to finish on schedule, a testament to their dedication and resilience.

Now, it’s time to head home, rest for a few days, and dive into post-production. I’ll be working closely with director Mark Savage to bring the footage together and complete this incredible film.

What an unforgettable experience it has been. I’m excited to see the finished product and eagerly await the next adventure!
